Somehow, being Geek is related to arts and crafts for me. I don't know why. Maybe the arts and crafts community are Geeks in their own right? And imagination and creativity are things all Geeks have in common.
I love to find craft inspiration online, but also like to personalize things. Like you would with a good food recipe. Anyways, a heads up for those of you who love nature. I recently found this nice project of the moon in its different stages. Very nice to do with older kids, or to make yourself for a kids bedroom (or the living room). You can follow the steps in the video, but I would recommend mixing glow in the dark clay with the regular clay for extra effect. Don't be shy to change other things as well, but I love the idea of this! This Facebook page often has nice craft suggestions.

For the first time in history, The Doctor is a woman. When I first heard this I wasn't over the moon. I might be a woman, but I love the men who played 9, 10, 11 (and even grumpy 12). I don't need a female Doctor for female empowerment, the companions are strong women anyhow. Then again, Doctor Who ís about change! I went from apprehension to expectation and I was not disappointed. Jodie does a wonderful job, she seems sensitive to human feelings (much more than 12!), is sassy and full of energy. The fact that The Doctor has boobs is not important for the character, and shouldn't be! She ís a woman though and that's special. It also means a lot of new merchandise, including the first Dr Who Barbie. Let's be honest, she looks great! Belle was an awful screw up from Mattel, but the face of this Barbie really looks like Jodie. I personally don't have a problem with Barbie. Yes, she is unrealistic, but what dolls are not? And it seems that a lot of people agree, the Barbie is sold out for now. Do you want a cool 13th doctor figure that's not a Barbie? Check out the Rock Candy version! 13th Doctor Rock Candy Version
